Le Boulanger!

Sophia says:  Today for lunch we went to Le Boulanger. It is a bakery/sandwich cafe. It was a special treat, because my Auntie Jill is leaving for Australia tonight. I went with my cousin Kaelyn, mom, brother, and of course, my aunt! When we got there, we ordered at the counter. Then we sat down at a table. The tables were kind of small. They were only really fit for three people. When you order, they give you a pager that buzzes when your order is ready. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwhich and a chocolate chip cookie with milk. The pager buzzed and my mom and cousin went to get the food. My food tasted good and my grilled cheese was very gooey and cheesy! My cookie had very small chocolate chips. The buzzer service was pretty quick. I would love to come back.

Josh says: Today we went to Le Boulanger. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwhich and it was so cheesy! And my Auntie and cousin were there. I had a big cookie and I gave everyone a bite! The restaurant was good. I would totally come back.

Kaelyn said: It was good. I had the bay shrimp melt,  and it was excellent, filling without being heavy. The clam chowder was good, nothing amazing but it was good.  I used to come here all the time and would love to come back again.

Auntie Jill said: The food was excellent, the portions were great and I loved the shrimp sandwhich. The clam chowder was excellent as well. I always enjoy Le Boulanger.

Jodie said: I really liked Le Boulanger. The gentleman at the counter who took our order was very nice and welcoming. We all ordered the bay shrimp sandwich which was delicious! It is a shrimp salad mixed with a lemon and mayonnaise dressing on a toasted sourdough roll. It tasted really fresh and was just the right amount of food. The service is 'do it yourself', because you order at the counter and when you are done, you return your plates and tray.  I would love to come back and try something from their bakery next time.

The Workshop Bar & Grill!

Sophia says: Happy Fathers Day Readers! Tonight we took my dad to the Workshop Burger restaurant.  It just opened about a month ago. When we got there, we decided to sit outside. A waitress brought us water. When we ordered, we asked for a milkshake but the waiter said that they didn't have the milkshake machine yet. That was weird because they have been open for a month. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and lemonade that I split with my brother. After a few minutes it started to get a little chilly so we sat inside. On the condiment tray there was ketchup, mustard, salt & pepper and spicy sauce. The sauce was 1/2 filled and with no cap. It looked gross but all the other tables had caps on their bottles. It took a while for our food to come. When it came, I liked it and the meat was very well cooked. The food was also very filling. I would maybe come back but not for a long time.

Josh says: Tonight we went to a burger restaurant. We took my dad there. I ordered a cheeseburger, french fries and lemonade. It took forever to get our food. Then finally we got it. It tasted good. There was mayo on the hamburger that I did not like.

Paul says: I had the mushroom burger with sweet potato fries - it was good, but overpriced. The menus were dirty, mine had ketchup stains. Our waiter was nice but was very young and  not able to "connect" with a family of four, trying to have a nice casual dinner out.  He was very inexperienced and established no reason whatsoever to make me want to come back to pay $10 for a hamburger ever again. I mean really, my burger should have sang me a song for that price.

Jodie says: I was so disappointed in the food, service and the whole experience. When we got there, a waitress led us to a table and told us she would be taking a break.  We waited awhile for our new waiter to come. My menu had white out and different hand written items then everyone elses. I ordered a cheeseburger medium rare. I could tell it was overcooked and when the bill came, our waiter had written "well done".  We waited a really long time for our food and they did not have many customers. The bun on the burger was filling but I think thats because it was sauteed in butter. The kids really liked their lemonade and I liked the sweet potato fries but that was about it.  I would not come back.

Rick's Ice Cream!

Sophia says:  Hello Readers! Today is the last day of school, so my mom took us out to ice cream. The ice cream store we went to is called Rick's Ice Cream. It is a very cute place. I ordered marble fudge ice cream. When the man behind the counter gave me my ice cream, he said it was a little soft, but it was still very yummy. They were very nice. I would come back.

Josh says: Today we went to the ice cream store. I got cotton candy ice cream. It was good! The man who served me ice cream was really nice.  I would totally come back.

Jodie says: Today was a special day because its the last day of school and the start of summer vacation! Going to Rick's Ice Cream was a great way to celebrate. There were 2 people behind the counter when we walked in and they were both extremely friendly and welcoming. I wasn't sure what to get and one person there recommended the salty caramel flavor. It was delicious! We had small scoops which looked like double scoops on the cone. They have a big room in the back with plently of seating and it's air conditioned which is nice because today is a hot day. Highly recommended!

Happi House!

Sophia says: Tonight we went to Happi House! It is a Japanese restaurant but you can also get a cheeseburger and french fries there. Today is Sunday and on Sunday kids get to eat for free. When we got there we ordered at the counter and the waitress gave us a number.  Then we picked a cute booth to sit at. I ordered a cheeseburger with french fries and apple juice. It took awhile for them to call our number. But when we got it, it looked good. My burger and french fried tasted good. Happi House is no ordinary restaurant, you get your napkins, forks, spoons, chopsticks, ketchup and other things at the counter. When we were leaving, they gave my brother and I each a balloon. I liked it but I wouldn't come back right away.

Josh says: Tonight we went to Happi House. It looks like In and Out Burger on the inside. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. It tasted really good because I like cheese. The service was great but we had to get everything ourselves. Our booth was clean. I asked the man for 2 balloons for me and my sister when we left. I accidentally popped Sophia's and I tied mine and I couldn't get it out. I was sad. I would come back to this restaurant because it's good.

Paul says: I had the beef terryaki and it was delicious. It was very thinly sliced and very juicy. I have never been there before and I would definitely go back because it is a great value. When I left Happi House I was happy.

Jodie says: We made a last minute decision to go to Happi House because we wanted something quick and easy and kids eat free from a list of kid's meals on Sunday if you purchase an adult meal. The staff was very friendly and welcoming when we came in. I ordered the vegetable tempura meal and it came with rice and chinese style chicken salad.  It was actually pretty good. I don't think it's the healthiest place to eat but they are very kid friendly and we had a fun time. Dinner for the 4 of us came to just under $20 - I was happy too!
