Welcome to our Blog!

My 10 year old daughter & I created LadyBug Restaurant Reviews to write about the restaurants we eat at from a parent/child perspective. Our ratings are for food, service, presentation, friendly waitstaff and overall experience. We rate on a 1 - 5 ladybug scale, with 5 ladybugs being the highest score. Cafe Yulong!

Sophia says: Tonight we went to Cafe Yulong! My brother didn't come because he was at a birthday party. When we got there our waiter showed us to our table. Luckily the tables were clean. The tables were also pretty and the chairs were comfortable. I ordered chicken chow mein and rice. Our waiter brought our food  quickly :0)  The food was very good and I loved the chow mein.  We found out that tonight was the restaurants last day. That's the reason for why it got so busy. Anyway, the service was very good and I liked the food and I wish I could go back.

                                           Stir Fried Vegetables

Jodie says: I didn't know it was Cafe Yulong's last day when we came for dinner tonight. We were seated right away and had excellent service. I ordered the grilled vegetables dish and it was very good.
There must have been a lot of regular customers because the owners greeted everyone like they had known them a long time and I heard a few people say how much they would miss them. One couple even brought flowers to give to the staff and say goodbye.  I'm glad we had a chance to eat here and we will keep you posted on what happens next.

Clarke's Charcoal Broiler!

Sophia says: Today we went to Clarkes. It is a hamburger, ribs and chicken restaurant. When we walked in, it was pretty empty. The menu was on the wall and we went to the counter to order. I ordered chicken nuggets with french fries and a glass of water. While my mom was paying, me and Josh went to find a booth. The booths weren't very clean, I had to wipe the crumbs off the table. The seats were not in good shape either, there was a big rip on it. The room was hot and stuffy with no air. Our order was ready pretty fast, but you go up and get your food. You know when to go because they announce your name on a loud speaker. My food was okay but not the best. I liked the french fries. I would not go back right away.

Josh says: Today we went to Clarkes.  I ordered a cheeseburger and some french fries. When I sat down the table was dirty. My sister and I cleaned it. We sat down and waited for the waitress to call our name. My food was very good. I loved my cheeseburger because it didn't have any salad on it. The french fries were so good too.  Inside the restaurant it was hot. I would definitely come back.

Jodie says: When we walked in I noticed a sign claiming Clarke's to be the 'best' burger place in Mountain View.  After eating here, I have to disagree. Our table was dirty and the room was really stuffy.  They did have a nice condiment table, but the everything on it  appeared to be not very fresh. I also thought it was over priced for burgers and chicken nuggets. I ordered the sweet potato fries which were fine and Josh really liked his cheeseburger.  I would wait awhile before coming back.

Cafe Baklava Mediterranean Grill!

Sophia says: Happy Easter everyone! Today my mom and I went for a special lunch at Cafe Baklava. It is Mediterranean. First we went inside and we asked the waiter if we could sit outside. He said yes and we went outside. We wanted to sit outside because it is a beautiful day and the outside seating is pretty. I ordered a fish wrap with french fries. While I was waiting, our waiter brought us hot pita bread with sauce and it was hot and very good! The service was a little slow, it took a while for our food to come. When we got our food, I tasted the fish wrap and it was a little spicy.  The french fries were good though. If you are a vegetarian you can come to this cafe. I might wait a while to come back.

Jodie says: Sophia and I have been looking to try something new and let our readers know what we thought. We didn't really see the inside of the cafe because we were so excited to sit and eat outside on such a nice day. I ordered the falafel wrap with house salad and I hate to say it was just too spicy for me. It was made with some kind of pepper sauce that I didn't really like. When our waiter came to check on us, I told him my food was a little spicy and he took it back.  I wasn't sure what he was going to do but he brought the bill and had very nicely taken off my entree.  I'm sure someone else would love a falafel prepared that way.
