Welcome to our Blog!

My 10 year old daughter & I created LadyBug Restaurant Reviews to write about the restaurants we eat at from a parent/child perspective. Our ratings are for food, service, presentation, friendly waitstaff and overall experience. We rate on a 1 - 5 ladybug scale, with 5 ladybugs being the highest score. We hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment and give suggestions!

Don Giovanni!

Sophia says: Tonight we went to Ristorante Don Giovanni. It was a very nice. I ordered spaghetti with meatsauce, my brother ordered macaroni & cheese, and my mom ordered salad. It was all delicious. The service was great. I also liked the food. They gave me a giant glass of lemonade and when I drank it it was really sweet and then they gave me another one.  I would come back!

Josh says: It was so good I want to come there again and I love it and I hope the restaurant has a nice day. I had macaroni and cheese and  I loved it!

Jodie says: I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The owner welcomed us inside and they are extremely kid friendly.  I'm not sure what the service is like on a busy night because we were there early in the evening but our service was excellent.  I ordered the Napa Cabbage salad and it was delicious.  The prices were reasonable and we had a great time!

ZPizza!

Sophia says:  Tonight we went to ZPizza! I ordered cheese pizza and we had lemonade. The pizza was thin and there were 2 slices.  It was a special offer. I liked the crust. We went there at about 6:00 and there were inside booths but we sat outside. We were on Castro Street and they had a street fair. We met our friends Anna & Sara. After a few minutes my dad came from work and met us there. It was fun. In the street fair there was a band and my brother hopped up onstage he played a blown up guitar. It was so loud I might go deaf. Anyway we all had a fun time.

Josh says: It was great there and I loved when I rocked and rolled! I am hoping we can come there again! The pizza was very very good and I liked how the band sings.

Paul says: Great night for family. Pizza was good but a little thin. The night was fun and the band was very friendly for the little kids. I better start saving money for Josh's guitar lessons :0)

Jodie says: This was our first time at ZPizza and I liked it. They offer organic ingredients and piping hot pizza.  They had a great special of 2 big slices and a drink for $5.95 and we got 2 of them. We had an exciting rest of the evening trying to get Josh off the stage!

Hon Sushi!

Sophia says: Tonight my family and I went to Hon Sushi! I had a fun time. Me and my brother ordered a chicken terryaki bento box. It had salad, california rolls, terryaki chicken and rice. They brought me and my brother a special soda and I also ordered orange juice. My mom and dad had sushi rolls. We sat in the very back of of the restaurant because it was a little crowded when we got there. I have been to Hon Sushi lots of times and I like it. Everybody enjoyed their meals.

Josh says: I ordered the chicken terryaki, salad, sushi and rice. They were good and I loved it so much. We sat at a lovely table. And I loved the dessert and I thought we should go there again.

Paul says: Its nice because of the complimentary food and the staff is very nice. It might be better on an early week day.

Jodie says: It's so hard to review and rate Hon Sushi because the owner is wonderful and they are so friendly.  We have been there before and they always bring complimentary dishes.  Tonight they brought the wrong sushi to our table and when they realized it, they brought us sake and miso soup and salad on the house.  For dessert they brought us watermelon slices and mini chocolate bars.  The food is not the best sushi I have ever had but the kids had a great time and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Buca di Beppo!

Sophia says: It was my cousin Kaelyn's  birthday. She is now 19! We went to Buca di beppo. I had a fun time. For appetizers we had tomatoes on top of bread and stuffed mushrooms and  cheesy garlic bread. Everybody shared. For dinner I split the spaghetti with the big meatball with my brother.  And for dessert we shared a huge yummy ice cream sundae. It was the best!

This is a special post because we also have special guest reviewers!

My grandpa says: It was a special occasion and I had the cleanest plate and the table when everyone was done - Perfect for a family party!

Auntie Jill says: They forgot to bring my plate but the food was good.

Keith says: My taste buds exploded! I want to come back. Great food, lovely place!

Kaelyn says: The food was fantastic!

Brandon says: I enjoyed every moment of this culinary experience.

Josh says: The restaurant was too loud. The dinner was wonderful! The dessert was very good and I liked the service. Kaelyn gave us some ice cream and I said thank you.

Jodie says:  Bucca di Beppo is a fun and crazy restaurant. We had a large table and the service was excellent. It was really really loud but a lot of fun.  We sat upstairs near a few other birthday party tables. We ordered pasta carbonara and stuffed pasta shells.  All of the food was great and it was fun to share. Highly recommended!

California Pizza Kitchen!

Sophia says: Tonight we went to California Pizza Kitchen. I had a fun time. The food was delicious. I had lemonade, pepperoni pizza,( it was a whole pizza, but it was just the right size for a kid) and for dessert my family shared a strawberry shortcake, with vanilla icecream, and a yummy bun. The service was pretty good, and the restaurant was nice. I would come back there bunches of times.

Josh says: I liked the macaroni & cheese and I liked how I danced and the servers were very very nice. I liked the one that said she liked how I danced. The dessert was very good. I thought we should go there again. The table was beautiful.

Paul says: Excellent chopped salad. Order the half size unless you have a huge appetite because the half size is pretty big. Service was adequate.  No majors flaws other than we had to ask for silverware.

Jodie says: This was my first time here. It was very busy for a Monday night and a lot of families came in.  I had the chicken wontons and they were very good.  Our waitress was friendly but very very slow.  They had loud music in the background and Josh treated everyone to a dance while we were waiting for dinner :0)
